There are two other exhibits known as modular exhibits and custom exhibits. Modular exhibit is a combination between pop-up display and a panel and frame system. If you own your trade-show exhibit they are comparatively cheaper than getting them for rent. They have their own set of advantages. First of all you need to have enough space to store them. Moving them from one location to another is also another issue especially in the case of modular or custom exhibits. One must give pad wrapping and take recourse to exhibit crates, skids and dollies for transportation of these structures.
Those who participate in frequent trade shows might find transporting them and storing them as tough proposition. For such people, renting could be the ideal choice. These days, you can get all types of custom designed types of exhibits for your needs and hence you have to evaluate each option before going for outright purchase. Once you buy it, it then becomes your responsibility. If you rent it, then it becomes the renting company's responsibility to transport it to the location of your choice.
Also, they do come in packages such as setting up and removing them once used is included in the renting agreement. This could be a great relief to the exhibitor. Exhibit rentals basically work on turnkey basis. As they are trained to set up and remove them on time with efficiency, they usually charge less and offer discounts too.
However, it is always wiser to have basic idea about different styles of configuration as well as different types of trade show exhibits available today. We have already talked about the later. Let us now talk a little about different types configurations. The Linear or In-Line booths are the simplest of them all. The exhibits are set in a line on either side or at the back. They are suitable for smaller booths.
For larger booths, we have Peninsular, Split Island and Island exhibits. Where the exhibits are arranged in a U-shape using the three side of the booth, the arrangement is called Peninsular Configuration or even Peninsular Exhibits. When two Peninsular Booth shares a common back wall with another Peninsular Booth, it is called Split Island Booth. On the other hand, if the booth is exposed to aisles on all four sides it is called Island Booth. Whatever configuration you choose, you must not overcrowd you booth. Contrarily, you must leave any space for your customers to move about comfortably; otherwise, they will not stop to listen to the sale pitches.
